Briggs. The Professor is one of Western Pennsylvania's leading experts on high school and college athletics. Professor Briggs works with Cumulus Broadcasting's WPIC and WLLF on a regular basis as a play-by-play man for the stations' high school sports coverage. Prior to 2008, he spent five years as the play-by-play man for WSAJ-FM's coverage of high school football. He also joined WPIC and WLLF for their coverage of playoff football. In basketball season, The Professor handles play-by-play duties for News/Talk 790 and ESPN 96.7 on a regular basis. He has also performed play-by-play and analyst duties for the NCAA Division III football playoffs. During the rest of the week, Professor Briggs is the award-winning sports information director at Grove City College. He is in his 10th year at Grove City. Previously, he worked as sports editor at Grove City-based Allied News. He has also been a sports writer for The (Sharon) Herald. Professor Briggs is also in his 15th season as the "Voice of Grove City College Basketball," serving as play-by-play man for the Wolverine men and women on WSAJ-FM 91.1. Overall, Professor Briggs has been covering Mercer County-area athletics since 1994. He is also a league commissioner and webmaster of the Shenango Valley Modified Softball League. His hobbies include softball, hunting, APBA baseball, radio, computers and collecting old NFL games on DVD. The opinions
